Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Buffalo, Inc. is designated as a 501(c)3 organization by the Internal Revenue Service. This designation means that we have a voluntary Board of Directors and that there are no shareholders. Therefore, all earnings are used to provide and maintain the delivery of our program services to you, after operational expenses.
If you would like to make a contribution to our agency,
we welcome any and all participation.
All contributions to us are 100% tax deductible and a receipt will be provided. Your gift can also be designated for a certain program that we offer, such as education.
Major funding for our Agency is derived from two main areas of support:
- Funding called "fair share" is voluntarily contributed from creditors that participate in our Debt Management Plan (DMP). Since creditors have a financial interest in receiving payment, most are willing to make a contribution to help fund our Agency. These contributions are usually calculated as a percentage of the payment a client makes through the Debt Management Plan (DMP) - up to approximately 8% of each payment received. However, your accounts with your creditors will always be credited with 100% of the amount paid through the DMP and we will work with all creditors regardless of whether they contribute to our Agency.
- Many creditor partners also generously donate grant funding to support our main operational expenses. These grants are completely voluntary and require that Agencies are 501(c)3 tax exempt in order to maintain funding. These grants support many of our educational programs and critical services to clients such as Student Loan Counseling and Small Business Coaching.
Thank you to the following grant partners:
Please Note: You are not required to have a Paypal account in order to donate to us.
Know that a tax-deductible donation to our Agency can help make a difference by supporting our financial literacy programs for local area high school and college students. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP.
